El circuito de Nurburgring, fue escenario hoy de la primera de las tres competencias del WTCR, previstas en la quinta fecha del torneo, la Fopa Mundial de Turismo. La prueba pactada sobre tres vueltas al escenario de 174 curvas y 25,378 kilómetros, en el “Infierno Verde”, tuvo como ganador a Norbert Michelisz (Hyundai), quien le ganó en el pique a Esteban Guerrieri (Honda) y el argentino tras tantear en los primeros metros si podía seguirlo, prefirió pensar en el campeonato y sumar importantes puntos, que lo mantienen con comodidad en la cima del certamen.
Con los dos primeros lugares ya definidos, la puja se centró por el último escalón del podio, donde el cordobés Néstor Girolami (Honda) y Robert Huff, (VW_Golf), mantuvieron una cerrada lucha, definida en los metros finales de la tercera y última vuelta, cuando Girolami, salió de la succión y apareó el auto al de Huff, Ambos, se tocaron en un par de oportunidades y finalmente, el “Bebu” pudo meter el auto en la curva que le dejaba la cuerda y salir mejor pisado para celebrar el tercer puesto. “Fue una definición muy jugada, creo que la más importante de mi carrera deportiva, porque llegamos cerca de 260 km/h al sector y pese a dos toques, pude salir airoso y estoy muy contento con lo obtenido”, concluyó el cordobés.

En el campeonato, Eateban Guerrieri, suma 189 unidades, delante de Norbert Michelisz, 161, Thed Bjork, 156 y Néstor Girolami, 154 puntos. Mañana, se disputarán las dos restantes finales, la primera a las 6.00 y la restante a las 7.20 (hora argentina).
