Tyler Reedick (Chevrolet), tras quedar eliminado de la fase de Play Off en la carrera anterior, alcanzó una gran victoria en Texas y sumó su tercer triunfo del año, que al igual que Chase Elliot, los convierte en los pilotos más ganadores de la temporada. Entre los 12 primeros clasificados para la fase final, Joey Logano es el líder con + 30 puntos, dealnte de Ross Chastain, + 18 y William Byron, + 17 en los primeros lugares.
La carrera tuvo una duración de cuatro horas, tras estar detenida durante 56 minutos, ante la aparición de algunos rayos sobre la pista de Texas, que obligaron a parar la carrera y esperar que las condiciones meteorológicas, mejoraran para la disputa de la 30° competencia de la temporada.
